26 Mar MY SECRET WEAPON TO STAYING HAPPY AS A STYLIST
Staying happy as a stylist is not always easy. With so many things we have to think about, its crucial that our happiness is at the forefront of success. Here are my top 3 Secret Weapons to staying happy as a stylist.
1. TAKE CARE OF YOU
You are your best investment. At every stage of your success you must take out 45 minutes to exercise at the beginning our end of your day. Exercising helps you to release toxins and opens your mind to start thinking outside the box. I exercise at least 5 times a day in the morning which helps me get through some stressful days.
Remember: Your body is your temple. A good exercise plan followed by a nutrition plan really sets your up for overall happiness.
2. DON’T LIVE WITH REGRETS
We all make mistakes. It’s part of life and there is no way around it. If we were all perfect things would be a lot easier. Since were not, don’t beat yourself up over mistakes you have made in the past. As long as you are working on getting better, staying positive and fulfilling your goals, there is no need to hold on to the past. Regrets can plague your growth and eliminate your happiness. You must channel your regrets to learning lessons.
Remember: When you start feeling regretful, write down all the positive things that get you excited. Keep it to a minimum of 5 things. This has helped me out tremendously on my hardest days.
3. ACCOMPLISH SMALL GOALS
Some goals that I have are pretty big and I know that it requires more work than others. The key is to create momentum for yourself. Completing small goals helps to give you a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment. You have to feel that daily. Feeling accomplished gives some validation to happiness because teaches you that you are worthy of so much more.
Remember: We all struggle with procrastination. It’s not about what you didn’t do or what your not getting, its about what you are doing to get what you need to get. Start creating small ideas and goals to open you up with the possibility for more.
